The second student changed the whilte tiles on the even numbers to black. The third changed the tiles (from black to white or white to black) on numbers that are multiples of three. The fourth students changed the tiles (from black to white or white to black) on the numbers that are multiples of four, the fifth did the same for tiles on the multiples of five, and so on.
